Breaking Away!

Nathan had a wellness day today, and we were planning on going to Nauvoo to go to the temple and see some sites. But the temple was closed this week, so we decided to go to St. Louis. We drove late last night, so Ariah would sleep, and then our friends Jen and Tyler came to the hotel to watch the girls so we could attend the temple! We were going to do a trade, but we didn't really have to watch their kids, so they really just babysat for us! Thanks guys!!
We loved the St. Louis temple! It was beautiful! We really wanted to get some pictures by it, but we got rained, okay drenched out! So a random story about this. We were sitting in the temple and I felt some rumbling, shaking kind of thing. I looked around, but didn't think anyone else noticed. Well it turned out to be a second earthquake to hit the midwest since yesterday. Crazy huh?
Anyway, we really wanted to take our animal loving daughter to the zoo while we were there, but of course those plans were rained out pretty quick! So we went to the childrens museum there, and Aida had a blast! Another funny, but kind of a living in a small town-pathetic kind of way, story! I told Aida that we were going to go somewhere really fun, and you know where she thought we were taking her? Well her first guess was Walmart, and when that wasn't right she guessed Hyvee (our local grocery store)! That proves the kind of small town we live in! We really needed this trip and we had a great time! Well I'm sure you are sick of my ramblings, and just want to see some pics, so here ya go!
Here is Ariah with Daddy.
Aida doing some grocery shopping.
Feeling an enery globe. I don't know what is going on with my stomach in this shot, but no I am not pregnant! Maybe just too much lunch...
Aida and daddy fishing, and boy look at that catch!

Lots of bags for just one night!
Ready to go, can you believe mom forgot a bow!
This is actually at a slide at McDonalds.
Loved the water works! They had these baby seats, so that they could play in the water also!

Great minds think alike! We went to the science/children's museum in Des Moines on Saturday, and this weekend we're going to Nauvoo...meet you there?
