A Not-So-Enjoyable Welcome Home For Ariah

So I know that I promised that I would be massively updating our blog now that we are back in town, but obviously tis not so. Here it is Thursday and we have been back a week and a half. We got home last Monday evening, and by Wednesday Ariah became really fussy and started running a fever. From Thursday until Monday it hovered right around 103 until her medicine kicked in. She had no other symptons besides fussiness that went along with it. Okay so maybe fussiness is a little understatement. Any time I even thought about puting her down she would burst out in sobs. She wouldn't even consider falling asleep on her own, or nap longer than about 30 min. And of course fuss even when I held her. I got random moments of cheeriness during the small lapses that her medicine was actually working.
On Sunday when she still had this high fever we decided that we should have her urine tested for a UTI. And sure enough it was. So now that she has had the antibiotics a couple of days, she is doing a little bit better. We just worry that she has the kidney reflux that Aida has. And right when we were hoping Aida might have outgrown hers, she got a UTI in Idaho. Most likely related to our long trip, but with her history, we better keep watching it. So here we are with possibly two girls with the reflux problem. We aren't sure at this point if they will want to run the test on Ariah or not, and we kind of hope they won't. It seems that no matter the outcome of the test, they usually just watch them closely anyway. So we'll see what happens in the next week or so.
And my sister sent me a disc with a lot of pictures from our trip, so I will try my hardest to fill everyone in on our fun times, through them, but it is still en-route.
