So I went to throw a dirty diaper in the trash the other day, and I found this little guy on the garbage can lid.
He was so cute and tiny (he is on one of those small shovels that goes with a sand bucket). He was about the size of my pinky nail. Aida loved it, and I wanted to keep it, but I don't know the first thing about raising a praying mantis. Missouri sure does have some fun creatures. I wish I had gotten out the camera just a couple of nights before I found this little guy. We were having dinner outside and a little frog jumped on Aida. It scared her at first, but then she thought it was pretty fun to see. I wanted to keep that little guy also, but Nathan convinced me that it would be better on its own, and it hopped away before I could secure it a safe home! Who would have thought that there would be a frog in the middle of a residential area, where there isn't even a major water source nearby.

okay, so now you put this one back on, where's the other one? The McD's and A Circle one? By the way, if praying mantis' be cute, then he is adorable! I would have kept it for sure. Remember dad's pet one? The one I got in trouble for killing, he thought I squeezed it's insides out when in reality it just laid an egg sack then died. I remember dad sitting reading the newspaper with it on it's shoulder. If I remember correctly he found it somewhere in Utah in a parking lot.
Wow go Maria and your memory! I think you should have named him Hermie! He just looks like a Hermie to me!
