Ariah Update

Wow, Ariah is sure growing up quickly! I am ashamed to admit how much she has done, that I haven't posted about. We'll start with the week that she turned 10 months, August 1st. She started crawling, cut her first tooth, and pooped on the big girl potty! Since that eventful week, she is really close to walking. She loves to stand up and can balance on her own for over a minute. She has even tried taking one step, and didn't fall! Hooray! I still think it will be another month before she is really walking. She has only cut one more tooth since her first, but her two top front teeth are so close, and are really bugging her. Hopefully those will come in soon so that she will start feeling a little better. And believe it or not she has actually pooped two other times on the big girl potty! To explain, she tries to go #2, but is often times sitting right on her bottom, so as is obvious, it is quite difficult to get much accomplished. So if I can tell she is having a hard time, I sit her on the potty, and viola!

She still loves food, and if you come around our house about 6:00 each evening, you will witness her attitude if she is not getting food yet. She has mastered this earsplitting, top of her lungs scream, which she does not hold back when she's hungry! But as soon as she has food on her tray, then we get to enjoy a much quieter dinner. She is funny to watch eat. She gets both hands going, shoveling one right after the other! You would think we starve the poor child. But her cute little chunkiness gives it away that she is definitely not undernourished.

Ariah turns 1 year in just two weeks, and I am having a hard time believing that she is really turning 1! She is so much fun, and I just want to keep her as a baby. She is such a happy thing and gives the best snuggles and kisses! She is so interested in life, and she idolizes Aida. She is completely happy as long as her sister is there. Aida has fun with her also, but understandably, gets frustrated when Ariah knocks over and demolishes everything she is playing with!

She loves to cook in Aida's kitchen, and I find her there all the time!

The next 4 shots are of Ariah enjoying an Oreo. And no I didn't give it to her, if I had, I would have stripped her down first, instead of leaving her in her white shirt! But at least it did come clean.

This is my favorite of them all!

It's hard to imagine our family before Ariah came into it. She has added so much to our home, and we love her and her sweet joyful personality.
