Happy Birthday Ariah!

Covered in cake and icing,
Your smile stretched ear to ear.
A single candle celebrates,
The joy of your first year.

We sang Happy Birthday,
You played midst wrap and toys.
We marveled at how you touched our lives,
Just one short year ago.

We remembered the first time we held you,
Kissed your soft sweet velvet head,
Whispered to you softly,
And layed you gently in your bed.

You changed our lives forever,
We will never be the same.
For when you joined our famly,
Our love grew stronger like a flame.

As a child you loved this day,
For all the sweets and presents too.
As parents we loved your day,
For the gift we got was you.

Each year we'll add another candle,
So proud to see you grow.
But always with the memory,
Of your first day long ago.

The picture of Ariah is adorable! I can't believe she's one already! How exciting! Have you guys found out your rotation location/s yet? Let us know if you have! Hope you had a fun b-day party for Ariah! It looks like she had a blast with the cake.

Happy Birthday little lady! She looks so cute but I do have to wonder where you guys live. Out in the boonies? You just decided to plop your kid down in the woods with an entire cake? I think you guys better get out of Missouri and fast! Please come back to civilization. J/K I probably don't have much room to talk living where I do now. LOL
so where is Mel's blog?

So I love the poem, did you write that cause wow! And the picture looks so cute with it! I got a kick out of Melissa's comment she needs to see the rest of the shoot! That picture redeems the one that was developed! She is so beautiful, I don't know if I pointed out how many people gawk at her. I miss you already, but not the stress and the gray hairs you gave me!J/K I love ya anyway, just stay away from black cats, ladders and mirrors....you can't afford anymore bad luck!
