Small and Simple

Last night we got to enjoy family night together, just like any other Monday. But for some reason, last night was really enjoyable! Nathan is in his finals week here, so we haven't seen much of him, but he has been home later in the evening. So last night was a late night with the girls, but worth it! We of course ate dinner together, then we went on a walk to go get soft serve ice cream cones from A&W. These are activities that I remember doing as a kid! Then we went to the park on our way home and finished our cones. After that it was late enough to be getting dark, and we saw fireflies! It was so fun! Last year we got out here too late, and the fireflies were almost next to impossible to come across. Aida thought it was pretty cool to see them twinkling in the grass, and Nathan caught one so she could see it up-close and personal! See, nothing that special, but for some reason it was just what I needed yesterday! It makes me really look forward to this week being over, so we can have Nathan all to ourselves! But I guess we still have his preceptorship to finish before he will really be all ours!
